EDITING A CFW

Hi Guys,

I have recieve a fair amount of help from people on here when it came to .rco files understanding the general construction of a CFW.

I have now created a stable FW (4.82) in both CEX and DEX.
So now I want to go deeper.

Can anyone advise on wether or not its possible to add extra folders to the xmb. I imagen addis a whole new catagory colunm is going to be a lot of work but by editing he rco files can you more additonal folder like the package manager fodler and if so if there...

hi all, hope you all safe from this corona thing
im newbie but i was able to hack my ps3 twice, i did it once before like 8 years and i reinstalled OFW then did it agaiin last year with some help from great guys on here
i would like to know some points...
could old CFW play all games or new games? and could old games be played on new CFW?
do we have to update our CFW once new update comes out? or it is not necessary?
are all ps3 consoles hackable?
is there a way to recover from brick now...

i would like to know some answers

ok, so I wanted the old coldboot and gameboot stuff on my ps3... i got it working but my ps2 iso stopped working and their was this weird _ appearing before app names and in the keyboard, I was on rebug rex 4.84 with the kernel and lvl2 both switched to DEX mode as i checked rebug toolbox

I lost my CEX dump so I figured I would just get a dump of my DEX for safety. Also couldn't get my key either.

So I thought everything would be fine considering I was on kernel and lvl2 were both DEX .

Cant load NTFS on rebug CFW

Hi form! I updated the ps3 rebug cfw to the last version, and update the loaders (irisman, multiman,magnagunz & webman mod to the last version) but I cant load now my external HDD NTFS, (I try everything, disable cobra modes (and enabled cobra modes), add usb.cfg (and try without usb.cfg) , format the hdd to try NTFS (mbr, primary partition table (and logical to try), different cluster size 8kb & 64kb......everything I read from the forums...... anyone have any idea for what I need to do? to...

Cobra slows down ps1 games

Hello, I have the latest REBUG 4.86.1 and whenever I have cobra activated it causes the music of some ps1 games (such as Chrono Cross and Xenogears) to slow down (my console and games are both na). Is there a fix for it and, if not, is it possible to get webman mod to work without cobra (everytime I do anything on noncobra webmod my console crashes). Thank you.

Hi guys. Newbie here. so I jailbroke my PS3 using the PS3exploit page method via a tutorial on youtube. Everything went fine. Multiman loads and i ripped my first game from my disc to internal drive which was Gran Turismo 6. That plays fine. I then loaded roms via FTP to the GAMES folder on the PS3. only 2 out of 10 or so worked. All of them show in Multiman with coverart etc. They also show the preview when you move to the Disc to load the game but all of them just black screen. I have...

Basic Jailbreaking Questions

IF a PS3 fat or slim can be jailbroken does it still require physically "Flashing" and dismantling to be soldered in some way. Or can it now be done via firmware from a USB etc etc. I have seen services on an auction site that offer to jailbreak your compatible PS3 for £20. Surely for this price it cant involve Flashing or physical dismantling of the console.
Please excuse my nievity but as i enjoy my own CFW PS3 Slim and installing other CFW etc etc id like to try jailbreaking one myself....

So i was bored during lockdown and decided to have a go messing with CFW and modded rebug 4.84 d-rex as i love dex consoles. I took xmls and rco mods from online and edited them and also created my own xml, rco, prx mods. You can use sen enabler and just spoof to 4.86 if you want.

I am releasing my CFW and its only for dex consoles, comes with a tonne of features listed below.

XMB Mods:

5 custom xmb avatars
custom wave
custom coldboot
custom gameboot
colored notifications...

Hello guys,
at first I want to thank the people who are actively trying to find solutions for problems and questions.

I have some questions regarding PS3Hen 3.0.1.

Q1: When I'm enabling PS3Hen a notification pops up that states that PS3Hen 3.0.1 and webMAN Mod have been activated. I want to disable or hide that notification. Is that possible? In the settings I can't find an option that gives me the possiblity to disable or hide that notifcation....

Took me a while to figure this out. Scoured the internet for help but all i could find was 2 threads about it and no answers. It was actually quite simple. I made a video to show how. And if you don't want to watch it here are the steps. I live in Region A and i tried it with 2 different Region B Blu Rays

1. Enable Hen
2. Start Multiman
3. Set the region you want in the menu (You have to do this every time you turn on the system, i think resets itself every time you turn the system off)...

I'm looking for a way to connect an RTM Tool to my PS3 from my android Phone. I know its possible on PC by swapping out files in the program folder to work with HEN.

But is thier a mobile app that works the same way to use with HEN?

Sd card
Ftp program I use admin hands
Unrar program i use winrar for andriod
Program to make ur sd FAT32 (haven't dont in a while but there are a bunch of programs that let u format on phone)

Dear Community,

I apologize in advance if this was already asked, but I couldn't find anything similar to this issue.
I have a slim PS3 CECH-2003A, minverchk shows 2.7.

So I have installed Rebux Lite 4.86 by following Mr Mario's guide here:
I had 1 false dump line at ROSH0 Hash, but I proceeded because as I understood I can ignore this if ROSH1 Hash is OK.
It installed the CFW everything seemed to be fine, but after installing Rebug Toolbox I checked...

Rebux Toolbox Selector is empty. Toggle QA flag not available.

I have a slim ps3 that has been flashed with another consoles nor and i don't have the original backup.
Is it possible to create donor nor like x360's nand ?
Can i get console information like (serial number-board number ....) for a nor backup ?
