Help! BD Drive Ribbon Cable, NOBD

Hi guys, this is my first post but I need some help I recently replaced the thermal paste on a PS3 i purchased, when I was putting it back together I damaged the ribbon cable connecting the BD Drive to the motherboard I ordered a third party 0.5mm 24pin ribbon cable off ebay and it fits but for some reason every time I connect it to the drive my PS3 loses power completely and will not turn on, I am running a NOBD Firmware, like I can unplug the ribbon cable from the blu ray drive and the red...

Hello community, I tried many solutions in vain before posting this. I transferreded GoW III ( BCES005 Folder format) to my 4.86 HEN PS3 slim (CECH3004a) via filezilla. I put it in the folder "GAMES", enabled HEN 3.0, started multiman, selected the game logo in Games layout and hit " Load". The multiman exits and I find the disk icon in the official XMB. When l hit " X" the game doesn't start and gets back to XMB. I tried putting a PS3 bluray disc in the BR driver, changed multiman settings...

Hi ps3 super slim 500gb today i set up my ps3 device / system update i made 4.86 update online (acidentally)

Can I install HEN?

HFW_4.86 file into fat32 format flash disk I copied PS3 / UPDATE / PS3UPDAT.PUP but the settings / system update does not find this file The second method is via safe mode but still cannot find the file. what is the problem?

Hi everyone, I'm still new to all of this PS3hen stuff and while I have had mixed results I am still experiencing some issues that I cannot solve. I have loaded PS3hen onto my SuperSlim, I am updated to PS3hen.3.0.1 and have Multiman_PS3hen and have connected via FTP and transferred my .pkg files (Dragon Age and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City) from my PC to the PS3's internal storage (/dev_hdd0/packages). From here I have easily installed them via the package manager but I'm unsure how/where to...

One of my friends said that His PS3 (On HFW or Hen) stopped showing anything on the XMB in game's for some reason, his running the lastest version of Hen
Any help or fix for this problem is greatly appreciated!

So let's say I patched my system successfully, restarted the Console and just continued to use it normally
What can I do with it ? (Without CFW)
Can I go online? Can I update to 4.87 OFW if released?
(Also using BG Toolset in 4.86 OFW)

(sorry for my bad english))i have a 1tb external external hd and putted 40 games. I launched assassins creed brotherhood and gave black screen. so i had to press the power button to turn off and exit the screen. After restarting the console, I realized that all my games were gone. when connecting to the computer, my pc did not recognize the hd and I had to format it with a program to be able to continue using it. After that, I inserted a game on the external hd and played on the ps3 for 30...

Hello. I was able to install HEN yesterday, along with WebMAN MOD, MultiMAN, ManaGunz and IrisMAN. Following the same procedure used to install those homebrew applications I was able to install a game (Daytona USA). All working flawlessly.
Now, today when I tried to install a couple more games the Package Manager was not seeing anything in the same USB drive that I used before. Only change I made in between was to delete the contents of the PS3/UPDATES folder to be able to make some room...

Hey there, i use for more than 1 year ps3hen on my PS3 Slim System... But i don't know why, but after i installed Monopoly Plus (i installed it as pkg) on my system i have to restart my system from 5 to 10 times (every restart enabling hen) to make my games work. I don't know what is happening, and i am scared. I have to reinstall everything or just to uninstall Monopoly?

I have CFW working 4.85 Ferrox Cobra 8.2 but now I dont know how to use it so is there a page somewhere that explains how to use it like a manual? I need to know:

1) I have copied a PS3 game disk to HDD how do I make it show in the main XMB (not mmCM)
2) how to copy PS2 game disk to HDD and show in the main XMB (not mmCM)
3) should I copy game disks as ISO's or just copy to HDD with option "copy" which is better
4) where do downloaded ISO's go for PS1/2/3 games ie which folder
5) how do I...

Can I image a PS3 SSD for the purpose of backup

Hi everyone.
My PS3 is collecting dust and I want to take my internal PS3 SSD for other purposes until I need PS3 again.

-So I want to backup PS3 SSD image, format and use that SSD, and restore SSD image again afterwards.

I've tried so far: Aomei backupper, Clonezilla, Acronis, Easeus...

They show PS3 encrypted disk as unallocated, and when I want to backup the SSD they don't allow me to image an unallocated disk.

HAs anyone succeeded in imaging a PS3 encrypted disk? Thanks!

Ps3 turn off when enabling HEN

Hi. When I try to enable Hen on my ps3 it just shut off. I dont know why. I use Hen from a long time and never had that problem. I'm on 4.84.2 HFW. If anyone know how to fix this please let me know :) .

Hello, I have updated HEN 4.86 When I am playing some games the playstation 3 turns off, I thought it was due to overheating, but I observe the temperature with webman and it is at 61 degrees Celsius. I restart the console and in some moments I can continue playing, but again it turns off. It is solved sometimes, when I load the game with another user, but it is very often the blackouts.
This problem occurs with folder type games and pkg games, with the HEN activated and the webman...

HEN can it be cause of shutdown ??
