Littlebalup's 4.86 Dual-Boot (DB) firmware released

Developer @littlebalup has released a 4.86 Dualboot Firmware. This firmware only of use for current PS3 Custom Firmware user's was an idea originally crafted by @habib several years ago. The purpose was to give Custom Firmware user's a safe way to go online (such as playing your disc based games) without a risk of a ban for using a Custom Firmware.

so i dug out my old ps3 to play it that already had cfw on it including a bigger hdd
but buy the looks of things now my ps3 hdd had died
ive placed in a new one but it tells me to use firmware 2.16 or above??

i did a little research and from what i can tell is i have to use the same cfw that was used on the ps3 to restore it with another hard drive

this lies my problem i dont rememeber what cfw i used?
is there anything i can do or is it game over now lol

any ideas? please

Hi guy,
I'm new to this form. I have PS3 Slim with PS3Hen installed on it.

I installed Netflix and Youtube from PS Store with my account. Is it safe to use them and sign in to PSN, if I don't enable Hen when I turn on my PS3?, and is there a way to use Netflix while Hen enabled?

Hello, all.

I need help.

I bought old PS3 for my son. Unfortunately, in menu I even do not have Install Package Files option.
Sticker at the backside has CECH-2001A.
Minimal version checker from this site told me that:
Update data of version 2.70 or later can be installed on this system. id 8002F967.

And now the question is: what custom firmware can I use to get the ability to install the programs from usb-flash and avoid brick console?

hi folks,could do with a bit of help with my already CFW PS3 as im desperate to get a shot of last of us etc before the new one comes out,its already been hacked but it needs updated and i dont know how im supposed to do it ! i bought the ps3 already hacked but its been gathering dust for a while

its on version 4.81 under system info

still has multiman 04.82.00 but it wont update when i try

firmware model says COBRA 7.52 COMPATIBLE on multiman

dont know much about cex or dex etc any...

help please with already JB ps3

Hello.

I have a FAT model PS3 which is currently on OFW 8.43 and has never had any CFW on it. I'm trying to install HFW from a USB stick, but when I try to update the firmware, I receive the error "No Applicable update data was found".

The USB stick is formatted as FAT32. The stick is empty except for \PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP
The md5 of the update file on the usb has been verified.

I'm using the right-most (closest to BD) USB port on the PS3.

Can you guys think of anything else to check...

Hello to all friends;
I have a PlayStation 3 slim version of CECH-3006B ;

Will this version be hacked and Jailbreak?

Version 4.85 was installed on it, and I saw that Hen and multiMAN icon were installed on it, so it was hacked and Jailbreak.
But unfortunately I formatted the hard drive with PC and updated to version OFW 4.86, and it's no longer hacking and Jailbreak.

Anything I do to hack or jailbreak version 4.86 or install firmware CFW will not work.

Please help me and tell me what...

Hey guys I've been having a problem getting back online on my ps3 and I need some help, I jailbroke it when I was 15 I am 19 now so I forgot quite a lot of it anyways my ps3 is running 4.65 ita dex yeah ik a bit old but it is a very stable firmware for me so I kept it but as of lately I cannot get online it does not say I am banned just says an error code

this is the error code "An error has occurred. You have been signed out of PSN. (80710016)

I googled a bit and saw this could be an ip...

Hello there.
I just got HEN working on my PS3.
Now I wanna get into the debug meny of Last of us.
That can be read about here:

I have the original game, the version one need.
Can I use that version I have and replace files somehow on my PS3?
Movie from USB and replace a file in the install.
Or do I need to rip my original game and install it like a pgk file or something first.

Desperately need help. I’m new to jail breaking and I spent hours trying to get my PKG file ps3 games to run. Later realised I had to use PSN patch to apply the rap files to the games. To my delighted they started running! But now the problem is, when I create a game save it doesn’t stick? I’ll quit the game, go back into it, and it’ll tell me no game save was ever created?

I used FileZilla to FTP the game into my “packages” folder on my hdd. Then i used a USB stick with the Rap files in an...

Hi everyone! I installed Rebug 4.86.1 LITE on a CECHA01 fat PS3 that had OFW 4.86 using the PS3 toolset and it looked like everything was installed correctly.

Now when the PS3 boots up I get the Rebug splash screen but when I check the System Information I still see Version 4.86

Despite seeing the red icons and package manager whenever I try to open any homebrew the PS3 hangs in a black screen. It seems like custom firmware was installed but it doesn't work anyways? I tried going into...

Forgive me for this weird question.

Is it possible to extract the firmware pkg (PS3UPDAT) directly from the ps3? Is it residing somewhere inside the hard drive, or the only way to get it is to download it?

Can't get Webman PS1 disc swapping to work

I'm using PS3HEN with the latest version of it and use Webman for loading PS1 games. I got into Webman from my phone browser to disc swap multidisc games, but when it asks for a disc and unmount/mount it doesn't do a thing, like if it can't detect the action of swapping or something. Is there a way to fix or something?

i havr just purchased a original 40gb fat ps3 which i will be upgrading the hard drive to 750gb. I really want to mod online. Been reading very conflicting things on the internet about 4.86 Rebug CFW. That loading GAME folders is not recommended but isnt that how mods for Gta V and Blackops etc work. Just need some clarity really on what firmware to install to be able to mod online. Also if the answer is 4.86 how do i go about loading mods. Very new to the PS3 Jailbreaking scene. Quarantine...

Hello, I have updated HEN 4.86 When I am playing some games the playstation 3 turns off, I thought it was due to overheating, but I observe the temperature with webman and it is at 61 degrees Celsius. I restart the console and in some moments I can continue playing, but again it turns off. It is solved sometimes, when I load the game with another user, but it is very often the blackouts.
This problem occurs with folder type games and pkg games, with the HEN activated and the webman...

HEN can it be cause of shutdown ??

Hello gamers

so I got a PS3 slim last year
It’s cech3003b model which is hen compatible
Currently m on hfw 4.85 and hen 3.0
I went online by signing psn I’d whenever I try to play any game online it tells me to download an update
M not sure what will happen then after installing update may be I get banned or so that’s why I never installed
But now I want to play the PS3 games online
Can you guys suggest safest way through which I can get Online and play with guys out there who are on psn
