digging out my PS3 what do i need to know

i have a modded PS3 on REBUG CFW havent touched it since i bought it back in late 2018 what do i need to know as far as installing games as far as iso files and PKG files i have a 1tb hdd in it its a slim can i ftp the games over or no im lost i have both iso files and psn pkg files to install ps3 has webman and multiman

feel free to point me to a guide or link me to a video or comment below

Hi i recently downloaded a mod menu for GTAV of YouTube and now i cant seem to play the game no more it just gives me a blank screen ive tried deleting all the data and redownload it but i cant play it still any suggestions? #RIP #NEVER #TRUST #YouTube

So, as I was following the tutorial on how to jailbrake my ps3 I needed to check the memory dump with ps3checker and then the program returns to me with 2 warnings

I think I found the solution for the ROS1 Hash but I just could not find the solution for the first one. If anyone knows, please help

One of them is not banned and runs HEN
The other one is banned and runs a CFW
Should I get the IDPS from my unbanned one and use it on my banned one?

PS3 doesnt recognise PS3UPDAT.PUP after applying flash patch

i followed this tutorial to the letter

im not sure if i've done anything wrong but it takes 6ish seconds to "apply" the patch, it says i can reboot the console and when i do then go to system update > update via storage media with the USB stick in, it says no applicable update data was found

Hello all,

My good old fat ps3 finally gave up and i've purchased a cech-2004b to replace it. Once i received the console and booted it up it i saw that it was on OFW 4.86 and that a factory reset was done by the previous owner before selling. I didn't get a reply from the seller when i asked if the console was on CFW before, so just to be sure I installed OFW twice thru the Recovery Menu (I'm beginning to think this was a dumb move). BG Toolset was able to recognize it as a CFW compatible...

Hello Guys, First of all, sorry if this is the wrong place to post this, I'm new :)

So here's the story so far. all I am trying to do is get Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen (DDDA) to work with Artemis, just for fun basically. Now I am on rebug 4.84.2 DEX, for some reason both the European and American rips did not want to work at first at all by giving me a black screen, turns out I had to turn DEBUG to Retail in Rebug toolbox for them to work. Btw all the games mentioned run from my internal...

hi there,
i am having ps3 CECH-4004A running 4.65 (official) that had cobra before it has been mistakenly update to 4.65.
i have some questions:
1. i wonder if there is a way to retrieve the cobra ? if so how? and if i am needing something more then my ps3 and a PC?
2. if the answer is no (or there is a better way then cobra), is there another way i can run games from hard drive? if so how? and if i am needing something more then my ps3 and a PC?

I've been playing around with server stand-ins using a local server and hosts file to intercept traffic, but I was just wondering both:
  1. How much we know about SIE Devnet
  2. What all it can be used for
the more I know the easier it'd be to get started building a local "custom" devnet server.

Ok, I have a 2511A with lfcaro min ver 3.56. I saw that I can or cannot go for cfw on these models.

What's is the best solution for those models. And how can I try installing CFW on it? Bgtoolset can help me verify if it can receive a CFW? I would like to install 4.84.2 rebug on it

3.41 firmware can't update Phat CECHG

Hello community, i have a phat ps3 CECHG from a friend stuck on 3.41 firmware, BD is broken, i tryed to replace it but it still not works.
Whenever a try to update, whatever firmware i choose, it always gives me an error 8002F157.
Does anyone has a solution to help me?
i've tried several OFW, and always this error.
Another thing i noticed is that it has some sort of usb dongle named bootloader.

my intention is update to HFW and the install HEN.

Can you please help?

I've got PS3 fattie few days ago for real cheap. Everything works flawlessly and I've upgraded to HFW 4.86.1 and installed HEN. I've even replaced thermal paste of PS3, because freakin rocket fan was so annoying and I was hoping it will solve this problem, but it didn't. So I've tried to install WebMan that I could adjust a fan speed but with no luck. When I press on the setup of WebMan, a black screen shows up and console freezes. I've read that it should restart itself, but nothing...

Looking to add an external HDD to my CFW PS3, so that I can use Multiman and Copy my games from the original disc onto the external HDD. Can any USB external HDD or is there specific requirements o be compatible with the PS3 itself
