Good afternoon,
I've been using this site, among others, as a guide while softmodding my PS3, and while I have had great success on a lot of fronts, one continues to elude me, and nobody else seems to have this problem (or I'm just very thick, which doesn't seem right...). So, I made a profile to ask this question, and probably a lot more, since the PS3 interests me as a challenging development platform. Hen no longer enables from HeN

Can't enable from XMB - hen freezes however can press PS button & move cursor
Can only enable by going online & going through install again - this does not however after reboot issue still persists
Also almost always fails first time in installer
Have noticed if it gets to 15% fails every time
The following is exactly what I have done to try & reinstall hen
1. Enable HAN rewrite flash
2.With HEN installer PKG on root of USB Go to HEN installer fixed
3. Download PS3HEN.p3t
4. Initialise HEN...

Hen 3.0 Enabler Freezing Often

I installed HFW 4.85.1 twice onto my Super Slim and then used the alternative HEN 3.0 installer from Ps3xploits site (remote play method).

When I'm lucky the cursor within enabler becomes a hand symbol straight away and activates HEN within a few seconds.
However, often when I launch HEN Enabler the cursor remains a mouse symbol, the green square will spin for a short time then stop before resuming again before stopping again this will repeat for about 20-40 seconds before my PS3 freezes I...

Hi,
I have a PS3 model CECH4004C on version 4.82 laying around and I would love to revive it by installing some kind of Linux based OS. I did some research and I'm pretty sure there is no way of doing it, but it's hard to find definitive answers with all those fake CFW websites around. Can you just point me in the right direction?

Error Code 80010002 When Loading ISO multiMAN

So I've used FTP via ethernet to transfer a game ISO to an external NTFS HDD. The ISO's have been placed in a folder named PS3ISO in the directory of the hard drive. multiMAN can read the ISO and states that it is on the external drive as NTFS. But when I load it, I recieve the error code 80010002 (EINVAL). The error also states that the ISO type is 32 and the ISO path is in the tmp folder on the PS3's drive. How can I get the ISO to work???

I had FTP working just fine with 4.81 rebug and ethernet for about a day then it stopped working after a session of playing games over the network using ps3netserv. I'm not sure if that is a coincidence or something I did while streaming messed up ftp.

I've since changed to 4.82 overflow to try and fix it. I've tried both ethernet and wireless. I've tried custom ip settings like 223.0.0.0 for ps3 and 223.0.0.1 for my pc (this is how I had it working before), as well as wireless only and...

These FTP problems are starting to make me wanna rip my hair out

Hi everyone,

Firstly, I'd like to apologise if what I am about to ask is something that is commonly brought up on here. Personally, when I searched for answers to my question, I couldn't find anything that directly answers it. So here I am...

So I want to talk about PSN, in particular trophies on my newly jailbroken PS3 (Rebug 4.85.1, if its at all necessary). You see I am not an online player, I prefer only single player games and have no interest in the slightest with playing games...

Installing PKG and RAP on banned ps3

I have been trying to install games using a pkg file and a rap file, but I am stuck at the renew license screen on the ps3.

I watched some tutorials and they all say you need to sign in to the psnetwork for reactpsn to be able to install the rap files.
I also tried to use psnpatch to install the rap files but no luck.
I am hoping you guys will have some helpful incite as to help me install the games.

I am running rebug 4.85.1 lite on a ps3 slim.

So i was messing around this morning around ps3xpad to make it work with HEN so i made a boot_plugin.txt via FTP and rebooted and since then everytime i try enabling HEN my PS3 Boots off with the led turned off like if i unplugged it off power. and since i can't get Irisman's File Manager to work i can't delete the txt file i made which created all this mess.
So i was wondering if there is any other solution for this matter to be solved?

Hello everyone, first post here so bare with me! :)

I have a PS3 Slim with 4.84 CFW Rebug and has been working just fine for many months until a few weeks back. At startup/logon, the unit hangs itself about 7 tries out of 10. At first I thought it was either MultiMAN or WebMAN since it happened right before the infobox at the top right was displayed, but removing both of them didn't do anything.
Next I thought maybe it's a hard disk drive issue since it's the original drive inside and I...

Hello guys, in the process of authorization to Playstation Network PS3 sends request to
IV0001-NPXS01001-00.auth.np.ac.playstation.net/nav/auth.

It sends information like

type=0&serviceid=IV0001-NPXS01001_00&loginid=xxxx&password=xxxx&first=true&consoleid=xxxxx

Also in that POST request there is a header that is interested to me , it is X-I-5-Passphrase .

Hi
I am new to the PS3 scene and needed some help with getting to the CFW step of things.
I am running a:
CECH-2501A
Minimum: 3.4
Had 4.84 OFW

I get thru the process of flashing the firmware to the hybrid 4.85. Got original dump.hex for the system. Then I proceed to flash 485.hex Nor and that is where everything goes upside down. I have tried 3 different usb sticks and either the flashing of the hex file or the dumping doesnt work. I then proceed to try the hdd method as well and I rename...

Hello, my name is shin, and i want to know about change hdd from ps3 jailbreak.
First, i buy this ps3 and got 500gb hdd for the game, but after 2-3months, my games always "hang" and give sounds "crack". after looking for info about this, i found out my hdd already bad (broken). i try to check it on my PC, and it show 3.89gb unallocated space. thats...really bad. 500gb to 3.89gb.
