Hi, I updated my PS3 to overflow 4.85 from Rebug 4.84 (was using Multiman)

But the old Multiman just disappeared. I installed the new Multiman but it isn't on the menu. Reinstalling the Multiman doesn't help

+ The last time I used Overflow (4.84) I couldn't get access to Multiman, it wouldn't open. Black screen then back to menu. That's why I installed Rebug. I'm afraid I'll face the same problem again. So any CFW recommendation for 4.85?

Hallo everyone...I managed to get on my hands a super slim 4.84 ps3, and i want to jailbreak it. Im a bit noob and i wanted to know for sure first i have to install hen using this guide

I'm trying to run PS2 ISO backups on a FAT Backwards compatible PS3 i recently picked up and just jailbroke (4.85). When I mount a PS2 ISO it mounts fine but when I launch the game it just ends up restarting with the error: 80028f17
tried multiMAN / ManaGunZ / webMAN_MOD with no luck.

any ideas on how i can get these iso files running as an actual disc and not an emulated workaround since its a BC PS3.

Hi everybody, please help me i’m noob. I have a PS3 FAT Nor type, Cech J04, minimum firmware installable 2.16.
I got this problem: while i was trying to switch from HFW 4.84 to CFW i bricked my ps3 (NOR FLASHED BAD). Briefly, i had to install twice hfw 4.84.2 to load both ROS (ROS0 e ROS1) with the HFW, but i didn’t it.
So now i have a ps3 bricked, however before this mess i made a backup of the valid dump of my NOR (got it directly from ps3 turned on and with the PS3 NOR Flash Memory dumper...

So I ripped my AC Brotherhood BLUS30537 today. It runs in folder format (JB) but when converted to ISO (regardless of method) it just gives me a black screen.

It's not that big of deal TBH, but the OCD side of me, wants all games in ISO format and now I have 1 that doesn't work.

Any ideas as to how to fix this issue?

So i took a break from modding, i came back about a month ago and realized sony updated their ps3's. How do i upgrade and still be on CFW?

I was new to modding before and still kinda am, someone help XD

Hi all

This is my first time at posting on here and my first time if I can jail breaking. I am looking at buying an old PS3 to try to see if I can jailbreak etc. However, when going on the web I get mixed messages regarding whether I can do it.

The ps3 is a slim 160gb with model number Cech2504A. Is this jail breakable?

Unsure as to which firmware is on at present.

If so, which is best guide to use to jailbreak? What apps etc is best to use

Any help or advice would be greatly...​

Hi guys. as the title says im wondering if i can just update my 4.84 Rebug cex ps3 to cobra 4.85 without any other steps. I mean can i just plug in a usb with the update into the ps3 and update and then have cobra CFW?

Hey people
From some days, whenever I boot up a game, it ends up in a black screen. This issue is coming with a handful of games only. Like Fifa 19, Far cry 4 and Wwe 2k17 other games work fine.

Some things to keep in mind:
1. I am on hen 4.84 on super slim
2. My backups are pretty fine as I have tried them on my cfw ps3 and they work fine.
3. I am using multiman to boot games from Internal HDD

Is there a way to sign PS2 games and install them via the package manager so that I can launch them from the xmb without the aid of multiman just like ps1 games? I'm looking for an alternative to using the ps2classics method because my console fan spins too loudly. I have a super slim cech-4201a.

hey there! I’ve been trying to install and use PS3Hen but whichever method i use (I.e install through browser or the signed pkg) I end up freezing somewhere. In the browser method I freeze at installing hen when it already checked and was successful. So when I went through the pkg method on USB I had it installed and even saw the Hen logo on the PS3 but when I enabled it the freezing happened again at the enabling process! I don’t know what I’ve been doing wrong since i installed HFW for...

My console is using CFW 4.84 , but yesterday i just updated online to OFW 4.85 , now my console always go to safe mode .

So, i tried to open GTA V in my ps3 and also The Last of Us. A screen appeared saying "Duplex presents...". So, i pressed X and this screen disappeared. But, nothing else happened. It was just a black screen, and the game didn't load. But games like Heavy rain, red dead redemption, worked just fine.

I'm a semi-n00b here. I've installed a CFW on my 60GB Phat model, but that was years ago, so I'm not up to speed on the CFW scene at all.

I have 4 slim models that I want to do some work on. Some questions follow;
CECH-2001A OFW 4.85
CECH-2504B OFW 4.40
CECH-2504B OFW 4.50
CECH-3003B OFW 4.60

* What can and can't I do with these models? (I think I heard something about 3k models not being possible to install CFW on?)

* Are there any reasons for me to keep some of them on...

Hi everyone,

I've been looking to try and dump my EID2 + EID4, which the devwiki documents and says can be done with OtherOS++. Most of the guides are outdated or the links appear to be dead so I'm at a loss where to start.

I am currently on OFW 3.55. I'm looking to install Red Ribbon Linux and to my knowledge, I need to get OtherOS++ CFW installed to allow me to do the above.

I was wondering if I should change the fans settings for my Slim CECH-2504B?
I play mostly on headphones so I honestly don't care about noise.
But when I set the fans to 100% the console freezed, and I had to restore system to get it back going.
I'm looking for a setting that'll simply make my PS3 live longer

I've been waiting about 2 hours, how long is it supposed to take to dump NAND memory onto a USB flash drive? Help. I don't know if it's still dumping or I have to restarting the console.
