Question about HEN and .pkg backups

Hi everyone! I'm new here. I've been reading the forum for a year or so since I jailbroken my Super Slim PS3 with HAN. That experience was super smooth and I managed to backup most of my games. I even upgraded my PS3 internal hdd with a 500GB one, which was a good move.

Now I realize support for HAN is pretty much done since HEN came out. Which led me to update to HFW 4.85 and finally install (upgrade?) to HEN. I ran in to a lot of freezing and hangs trying to install it, so in an attempt...

Hello Friends,

I have recently got my old ps3 out from the attic that has had cfw installed previously , its currently on OFW 4.80 and I was wondering if I could install a cfw without an e3 flasher if so how?

Only just getting back to modding , sorry as I have forgot everything back from when 3.55 was released :D.

I'm currently new to this jailbreaking thing with ps3 so I need a bit of help from someone who can explain to me as noob friendly as possible how to and helpful tutorials I can follow. Basically i have a PS3 which I already checked it is compatible with jailbreak (slim 25XX and checked compatibility with the pendrive) and that's about it.

Since every tutorial I found was about jailbreaking from version 4.84, I'm scared a bit to do so since mine is already 4.85, when I tried to look for a...

A new firmware has been released? 4.85?

I'm on 4.84 HFW and HEN, my PS3 has been running sweet..
How do I update to latest HFW? do I have to download it and install via USB? or can I just check for updates?

If I install via usb will I loose my games and game saves?
And will I be able to reinstall HEN if I update?

Can I spoof 4.84 to 4.85? like on Vita?
I'm sorta hanging back to see if more info is released as Ive a lot of data on my 1tb HD, before I take the plunge.. I haven't even turned...

Very new to jailbreaking, found the 4.82 guide but haven't gone through it yet since I'm still not clear on which CFW I should be picking or what exactly they mean by installing OFW 4.82 twice.

Basically I have a launch Slim console (originally 3.20 or 3.40? remember missing the stuff about 3.55 back in the day) where the blu-ray drive just failed. Got a Phat console (swapped the hdd and upgraded from 4.80 to 4.82) with a working bluray drive and want to know how I can dump my disc games,...

After installing a dlc pkg on my ps3 super slim, when i enter multiman afterwards, multiman doesn't open, black screen, frozen ps3. Issue can only be resolved by hard shutdown. -holding the power button

Hi, so i am running on REBUG 4.84.1 REX EDITION and i am trying to play MW3 online i spoofed everything using PSN Patch disabled webman created PSN account using website launched MW3 from retail disc but when i try to go online it tells me to login and when i try to login it tells me to update PS3

ps3mfw builder mod

hi there.

due to some disadvantages and some minor issues with tools, i have made a mod of toolboy's ps3mfw builder release.

the major disadvantage of reddot's or toolboy's mfwbuilder, you cannot add, rename, delete files from pup file just as easy as with old original 0.2.1 builder. you have to do some annoying workaround to solve this problem and it was due to the tar re-creation routine he/they have used.

the other thing is, the created pups with their builders behave weird on...

Hi,
I am new on here, Yesterday I installed 4.84 CFW , but I noticed that on my WHAT'S NEW section I could install GTA 5 MODS,Multiman,MOVIAN,IRISMAN,etc. Only by going to this section and clicking on them,
after some time my HDD died and I have swithced it with a SSD, I did everyhthing from the begining but the ¨WHAT'S NEW¨ section is gone...

Hi guys,

I had setup my PS3 slim with 4.84cfw and was dumb enough to allow it to update so I could use Stan, this put it into an update loop which I solved by updating to 4.85ofw via USB.

What's the best way to get 4.85cfw? The tools I used before (ps3xploit) haven't updated for 4.85 yet :/

Hi, I'm today teach you install PS3 Hen Edition Irisman .

1- You Download Irisman And Copy Flash Disk.

2-Wear Flash Disk To PS3.

3-Package Manager>Install P. Files>Standart> Irisman Edited GianC-Dev.pkg> Now Auto Installer.

4-Enable Hen.

5-Open Irisman.

6-Finish

Hi forum I am new to this jailbreak thing so I read the HEN all in one discussion forum.

However my problem is whenever I ran these two PS3 games I get a black screen it only happen to these games.

I removed webmod and install the 4.85 mmCM.

I watched many youtube videos that suggest you change the game setting bd mirror and internal but it didnt fix the blackscreen.

The first game I turn the game files into a ISO using irisman place it in PS3ISO and i have a copy of the game file...
