4.81 killed ODEs even on Cobra CFW?
On Rebug 4.80, 3k3y works fine, also even the passthrough works. Upgrading to the current 4.81 Cobra CFWs out right now (Ferrox/playerkp420), the passthrough doesn't even work. Any idea what Sony fixed and can ODEs still be used alongside with CFW?

Downgrading to 4.80 Rebug makes the ODE and passthrough work again, so it's not my hardware at fault.

This is an idea that have been circulating in my mind...
Every time that a new OFW is released, we usually get first a Standard CEX edition & OFW Dual Boot edition, then Cobra is ported and we get Cobra Edition and finally REX when OFW Debug is leaked. Also NoBD variations are released in-between.
The question is: why CFW devs don't simply skip the Standard CEX edition (or even Cobra edition), and instead release a "CFW Mamba edition" with NzV mamba/prx auto-loader pre-installed?

Confused about how to install a cfw on new ps3.
Hey, I just bought a ps3 slim 120gb. model number is CECH3001A. The guy I bought it from hasn't updated it for a while, it is on ofw 4.01.
I have been searching the internet trying to figure out where to start but like a lot of people (I would imagine) I dont want to brick my new ps3.
My end goal would be to have the best and most solid cfw that is out right now, it would also be nice if I could play online and go on psn. Is that asking too much. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

Ways to transport PS3 locked game save from OFW to CFW and back?
hi, long story short I have a WWE 2K14 save on a OFW console which by design is a locked save and I need to carry it over somehow to my another CFW console so I could do some editing and bring it back to OFW.
- on OFW I believe I should order PSN+ upload that save to cloud.
- log in to the same PSN+ account on the CFW console, retrieve the save, edit it. and upload back to cloud again
- on OFW download it from the cloud once again
OR
- on OFW I believe I should order PSN+ upload that save...

NEED HELP ASAP
I need help if any1 can help with this issue they are awesome its drivin me insane... so i downloaded and installed ccapi on my ps3 and computer went into it on the computer connected fine hit refresh it showed all my info like firmware and how hot the ps3 was bla bla bla ok so i installed gsc studio and tried connecting and i get this message "you need to install ccapi 2.60+ to use this library" im on 4.78 dex rebug

Quick question
Hi I have a question I'm currently using my ps3 to play PSX / ps2 / ps3 and retroarch ( SNES NES ETC )games on it. But I'm still using Rebug 4.80.1 Cobra 7.3 and Rebug toolbox V02.02.10.
To wat do I have to update my CFW for a proper 4.81 whats good like ferrox od that new that new starbucks thing and can I still use the toolbox if I would upgrade my ps3 with the starbucks thing ( cause it's also has cobra in it name ??? )

hi guys, today I copied PS2 GTA Vice City game and it had a pkg installation and a *.rap file in exdata folder. I installed the pkg and copied the rap file to exdata folder. I start the game and I get

can 3.56 be flashed?? and can CFW be higher than 4.30?
Ok at the risk of sounding like a noob, I keep seeing how units whose lowest firmware possible shows as 3.56 can still be flashed like normal, the difference is
1. you can ONLY flash if the current firmware installed is between 3.56 and 4.30
2. Once CFW is installed , you can never install any CFW that is higher than 4.30?
Are these 2 points correct, or can 3.56 just not be flashed at all no matter what?
