Splitting ISO files and copying them to multiman

I have some PS2 ISO files that are over 4GB, therefore I cannot transfer them using my USB FAT32 Drive from my computer to my PS3. I tried splitting them but I don't think the split files are working. They show up in system as PS2 isos and load up as if a PS2 disc was in the system, but they don't boot and just stay on black screen after attempting to boot. Some of the games weren't even split, they were just made smaller to 3.99 GB and instead of ".iso" at the end of the name of the file,...
