CFW game folder in external hdd or internal hdd better?

anyone did any speed & other comparison between the 2 method.

running on External drive
-1 USB port will be taken away , not much issue since all using wireless controller.
- easy & faster to copy game via USB 3.0
- speed of loading game?( not sure)

running on Internal drive
-copy game hassle
-neat
-2 free USB ports.
- speed of loading game?( not sure)

i'm now using 1TB internal, i'm seriously thinking if the speed is the same.
i will change to external drive as i can put games in it...
