4.83 downgrade to 4.82 possibility?

So, making a long story short...

I had this old laptop laying around with a 500GB HDD, while my PS3 HDD was around 200GB...
I switched the hard drives around....

Now let's talk about 4.83 if you accidently upgraded...
- In a way would it be technically possible to take out the HDD of your PS3, put it in a laptop
- Then start the laptop with a bootable HIREN Boot CD USB pen drive...
- Reformat the PS3 HDD in the laptop with the tools in HIREN boot CD...
- Then make a USB Pendrive with...
