I have a problem with my PS3

I have a problem I have CFW on my PS3 and when I turned on my PS3 the other day it said it had a Sony software update but it keeps failing the update and every time I turn my PS3 it keeps wanting to do the software update and it will do anything else but do the software update and fail over and over again and I don’t know how to get around this
