Setting up new PSN account before CFW?

I have a slim PS3 that should be capable of installing CFW, and I wanted some advice on setting up an alternate PSN account on it before doing that. I've already made the other account on the website, I'm just wondering what procedures y'all would recommend before using the bgtoolset thingy to install cfw per the instructions linked in the top pinned guide.
