Queries into playing PSX backups with Multiman

I use HEN with Multiman. Anyway, when I use it to load a PSX backup, on some occasions, when I access the mounted file on the XMB, it only flashes on the TV once, and hangs. Usually it flashes three times and it boots to the game. And when it hangs, I have to turn off the console, and turn it back on. It doesn’t damage the hard drive, and it loads the XMB like normal.

So I am wondering, what is going on here? Have any of you out there had this problem before? And is there a fix to this...
