PSN purchase local backup and restore

As of the time of writing this the PS3 store is still online and while it might be annoying to make new purchases, it's still possible. Still, I doubt it'll remain online forever so I'm trying to backup my PSN purchases to my local PC (well, NAS tbh) so I can retain access to my games even if the store is no longer available.
I would appreciate it if someone reviews the process and and tells me if I got anything wrong.
