Is it safe to play GTA V offline ? (possible CFW reporting EBOOT inside the game)

It's been a few weeks that I'm using CFW, and I don't really care about online play on PS3, but I read about sony's ban behavior in a thread on GBATemp that there's special games (like GTA5 and recent CoD's) that register unofficial software (ie: CFW) even when you play offline, and they report back to Sony the first time you sign in on PSN.
I know this sounds weird, since I couldn't find anybody talking about this beside this single guy on GBATemp. Is there any case when somebody got...
