Stuck on converting psx to ps3 pkg

Hey. I've got my psx iso's loading up just fine, but am trying to install them through pkg files so they show up in the PSN games list. I've got ps3tools and have been messing around with RetroXMB and can get SNES and Genesis roms to work fine, but cannot figure out how to do PSX games.

I follow the tutorials I've seen fine, and the pkg installs, but when I load up I get a message saying "Unsupported Firmware or the syscalls are disabled. Some functions will be limited".
