Help with using ps3netsrv via shared network

Hello, as it happens my router is in my living room which shares the same wall as my bedroom and in order to get a network cable here there is a hole in the wall where the cable comes through. so basically i have a 20 M cable that reaches my pc but i do not own another long cable (and the hole is not big enough for a third cable since there's my ps2's ethernet cable coming through there as well) so i decided to connect my ps3 to the ethernet using one of the spare ports in my pc.
