Possible to rip games off internal hard disk?

So probably an odd question. Is possible to rip or backup real games from the internal hard disk?

I would like to free up some space, but I would prefer to not have to download the game again for games I already own.

Can you just browse somewhere on the internal disk and copy the folder to a USB drive?
