black screen after changing boot mode

hi so i was using rebug drex 4.8.4.1 and changed my kernel to dex then went to debug settings in xmb and changed the boot mode to debugger restarted the console and a black screen i can still use ftp should i just reinstall the firmware or is there is something else that needs to be done
edit: removed the hard drive to make sure it's not the cables or a hardware issue and then reinserted it and after booting am greated with this. any idea how to return the boot mode to normal?
